Prosopagnosia and face recognition

Today’s #AutChat topic is prosopagnosia, which is difficulty recognizing faces. It’s a problem for many (not all) autistic people.

Prosopagnosia can happen in other conditions too, such as Williams Syndrome, Alzheimer’s, and acquired brain damage. #AutChat

Prosopagnosia is sometimes used to only mean “can’t recognize faces at all.” We’re going to also talk about subtler difficulties. #AutChat
